I have a XP Pro box that is unable to backup more than 4 GB, using Windows
backup (ntbackup.exe). It has an NTFS drive and it is backing up to an
external drive formatted as NTFS. When I select my files and start the
backup, I get a message saying I'm unable to backup more than 4 GB on a
FAT32 drive. But it's NTFS. How can I overcome this issue?

Thanks, Andre

Well, my first suspicion is that you are mistaken and the drive you are
writing to is actually FAT32. How do you know it's NTFS? Would you check
again please? Let us know exactly how you checked, and exactly what you see.

I think you were dead-on Ken. Windows Explorer told me the drive was NTFS.
But when I went into Disk Management, it showed it as FAT32. I reformatted
it as NTFS and was able to backup a 26GB file. Thanks for your help.

Andre
