Some things we would need to know:

1. What exactly does "my backgrounds to everything do not appear" really
mean? Remember, we cannot see your computer from here.

2. Version of XP and Service Pack level.

3. Antivirus installed - name and version.

4. How you connect to the Internet - method and ISP.

5. Did this function ever work correctly? If so, what changed between
the time it worked and the time it didn't?

6. What have you already done? "Everything I can think of" doesn't tell
us anything.
