On one of my systems the backround on new emails, reading pane, and sent
emails is blank (white - normal) unless they have been created otherwise,
however on the other system they have a light blue backround. We are talking
about 2 laptops receiveing the same emails from the same accounts via the
same email providers.

I have tried every thing I can think of to change this but can find nothing
that seems to cover the problem.

And we can't help since you provided no Outlook versions nor if using Word as the editor. Try again.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

After furious head scratching, IraHorowitz asked:

Let me get back to you when I am in the office Monday - I use Outlook 2007 here and the options are different. I seem to recall that it is in the Format menu that you can remove the blue background by choosing none. Then the email .dot needs to be edited to remove the background as well.

I copied the PST from the system that has the problem and added the PST to
Outlook on my system and it is ok. I have also tried creating new profiles
on the problem system with no change. I have not found any where in Outlook
that I can change the backround in a general sense.
