Backing up XP from W2K

Is there an issue with the archive bit not being reset when you back up a
mapped drive that is on an XP machine with NTBackup running on a W2K
machine?
Anyway, that's what I am experiencing, archive bits are not being reset with
normal or incremental backups. Other mapped drives that are on W2K machines
don't have this problem.
I searched the KB, but did not find anything. Thanks for any input,
