Backing up documents attached to emails

My attachments to incoming and outgoing Outlook emails are apparently filed
in C:\...OLK28B

I back up my files using the MS Windows XP Backup Utility, and I back up my
Outlook .pst files by using the MS Outlook Backup Tool.

Questions:
1. Is OLK28B automatically backed up when I back up my .pst file, or does
the .pst backup only backup the email message itself without the attachment?
2. If the attachment is not backed up when the .pst file is backed up, then
I should backup OLK28B through the XP Backup utility. \
3. How do I know that OLK28B is the only place where attachments are
stored? (I'm not sure OLK28B contains all my attachment because I have
zillions of attachments and I'm not sure all of them are contained in this
one file, but I don't know where else they could be).
4. Related question, how can I user-change the location to which incoming
and outgoing messages are stored?
5. Out of curiosity, where did MS come up with a name like OLK28B for the
attachment store? Does this have any meaning other than OLK stands for
Outlook?

Thanks for your input.

The atachment gets written to the Outlook Secure Temp Folder _only_ when you
open the attachment from within the mail message. Otherwise, the
"attachment" is part of the message body and does not exist as a separate
item. If you do not delete the attachment from the message, it is contained
in the PST and backing up the PST backs up all message data.

Incoming messages will always be delivered to Inbox. Outgoing messages will
always be stired in Sent Items. You can't change that.

It's a randomly generated value and since it's *temporary*, you do not ever
have to back it up.

You can change the folder for sent items manually on a per email basis, or
with VBA for all you emails:
