How do I back up to CD my Address Book (Outlook Express)
with all its phone numbers, mailing addresses, e-mail
addresses, etc.? I have spent many hours typing all this
contact information in, and don't want to lose it when my
computer decides to crash. No-one seems to know -- do
you?

thanks,
rob

sorry - you should have posted this in Outlook Express as Outlook uses PST
files.
However, for Express do a search for *.wab. It depends on the operating
system and software as to where the file is located and how to write to CD.
It's usually small enough to fit on a floppy whereas Outlooks file includes
all the messages and needs a minimum of a CD to backup to.

Backup and Restore OE
http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/backup/index.htm

BTW, this newsgroup is for support of Outlook
97/98/2000/2002/2003 from the Office suite of products. Outlook
Express is actually a separate program despite the similar name.

For help with your OE questions, try an OE newsgroup such as
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress (for OE 6), or
an OE help website such as http://insideOE.tomsterdam.com. If you're
accessing the Microsoft newsgroups through the MS Product Support
Services "Community Newsgroups" web interface, click
http://communities.microsoft.com/new...ternetExplorer
to get to the Internet Explorer groups, then click the plus sign next to
your version of IE to see the link to the Outlook Express group for that
version number. Good luck!
