Background problem

I changed the background on my index page using format>background>formatting
tab>browse. Everything worked fine. When I went to another page to change the
background using the same system I found the formatting box to be grayed out
and not active. How can I make this box active for all pages?

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
I examined your pages and here's what I found:
On the home page your modification resulted in:
background="moreland3abc.jpg" being added to the body tag.
on the pages that it wouldn't work on I found a "stylesrc" attribute in the
body tag.
here's some information on that:
http://www.idocs.com/tags/document/_BODY_STYLESRC.html
you could try to remove the theme from the pages that won't take your
background or modify the theme to use the background you want.

I guess the big question is how badly do you want to move away from
FrontPage proprietary code and into modern standards based design.

HTH

Chris, thanks for the info. I went to my frontpage 2003 and code on the page
I wanted to change the background. I deleted the background from that page
and typed the html from the body of my index page. When I went back to design
and checked out the formatting tab everything was active again. I will
continue to do this to each of my pages.

Thanks again...

I hate to say this but since your site doesn't rely too heavily on
FrontPage, especially so in that it isn't doing anything that good HTML and
a little CSS would do; why don't you give the Expression Web demo a try and
create a new site using a Dynamic Web Template or ASP.NET Masterpage and do
it in modern and valid HTML?
Your site's content is definitely "worth it".
