I want to change the background picture on my home page but the new image
will not show up in preview or on the published site. I can use any image in
my files that were already part of my website and they all show up fine.
When I try to use a new image file it won't show up. I have saved it to the
same folder as the others. I have even renamed it the same as my current
background image that works. Still no luck. Please help!

Did you re-name the old background image first?
Did you Import the new background image before assigning it to the page and naming it with the old bg image's name?
Try Recalculate Hyperlinks.
What kind of image file is it?

Thanks for your quick response. Yes, I renamed the original file first. I
imported the new file before renaming it. I only renamed it after it would
not display. It is a .jpg file. I tried recalculate hyperlinks but no change.
It does display only in normal mode in Frontpage. I also tried doing a new
page with the image, but no luck. I ran reports and no problems show.

Ok.
Open your web/site "live" and delete the background image file (the ..jpg).
Recalculate the Hyperlinks on the server.
Close the live web.
Open your local web.
Then re-Publish back to the server.
