background color of my inbox view?

I have Microsoft Outlook 2003 - I use to have 1997 and I was able to change
the background color of my inbox when catagorized by sender - now the list of
names come up gray with the background white - I find it hard to read and
would like to change the background to a different color - any help will be
greatly appreciated.
