Hi - had virus (backdoor.hogle), cleared per Symantec
guideline -- still have unwanted internet sites on last
line of toolbar display at top of Internet Explorer
screen -- cleared History, etc., but sites are still on
line that starts with Search the Web and constant pop-up
for "Internet Eraser" ads. Also, have unwanted new bar
called "SpiderSearch.com Bar".

How do I delete/eliminate unwanted sites, pop-up ad, and
unwanted spidersearch.com bar?

Try to remove with AdAware or Spybot.
