Hello,
I backed up the .pst file, but when I restored it, mail accounts were not
included and the message rules had in brackets "on another computer". I had
to do all this manually.
Is there a way to back up OL so that I have an exact clone of OL when I
restore?
Thanks
AJS

With Outlook *closed* copy the data files to eg a thumb drive
You cannot generally copy the accounts, they are stored in the registry
Once your PC & office/outlook is reconfigured & working
Copy old data from thumb drive to your Documents Folder
Within outlook, File>Open>Data File.........browse to this location open the
outlook data file, probably called outlook.pst
Then set this data file as the default, and close the data file outlook
created when you configured it
How exactly you do some of this depends on your version of Outlook, which
you failed to mention
