Back up to CD and DVD Drives

I am trying to back up to either my CD-ROM or DVD drive,
preferably the DVD drive but I get the following Backup Error:

F: is not a valid drive, or you do not have access.

I get the same message for both drives, just the drive
letter changes. I am the administrator/owner. Easy CD
creator (Roxio) allows me to write to both drives and the
information on each is accessible through windows explorer.
Any ideas?

Thanks

Fred

Can't use built-in Backup to
write to CD/DVD. It doesn't know how.

You need to buy a third-party solution.

The XP backup recognizes the CD and DVD drives. Will it
work with 2000?

You can not backup to CD or DVD using NTBackup with any version of
Windows.
