What may be happening is that Back is taking you back to a page
which automatically redirects to the page you started from.
In that case it isn't really doubleclicking that's needed so much as
pressing Back a second time soon enough to prevent the redirect
from occurring.
To be clear about what you are doing use either the Go to... list in the
View menu (e.g. press Alt-V,o) or the Back button's dropdown list
and pick the entry explicitly.
