Using Windows XP and only under my screen name, this problem just developed. When I try to go to a web site the page will not always load completely even though it shows "done" in staus, clicking refresh multiple times will usually work. Also on the rare occasion I can surf, the back button does not work. Staus bar shows opening previous page but it never does. I've reset all web settings and removed all adware-spyware.

when the back button fails to return to previous site
click on the small triangle next to back arrow. this is
recent history list. chose previous site from this
history list. some sites set themselves as the previous
site. this happens about 1 in 50 sites. usually a site
that wants you to stay with them. very rude.

It will not go back from there either. My big question is why are the other users having no problems when all their settings are the same as mine?

Brent,
Try deleting the History and Temporary Internet Files folders (for your
account.)

You might also set the TIF folder size to about 50MB. That's enough cache
for most purposes.
See:
How To Delete the Internet Explorer Temporary Internet Files:
