Avivo Technology: Hype or reality?

I'm about to upgrade my video card. My current mainboard is AGP, which, not
being a gamer, is fine. However, I'm wondering if ATI's Avivo technology is
worth the upgrade to PCI-E. Does Avivo really make that significant of
difference in video playback and/or recording?
