Hi all,

I want to include a avi file in a ppt presentation. The avi runs perfectly
on windows media player but gives me only the first frame, then a black
square when I play it in PPT. I've just updated WMP. Reducing the hardware
acceleration to the next to last noth allows me to see some of the frames,
but they are not in order (the 1st frame reappears between subsequent ones)
and they appear slowly, from top to bottom. Any other settings of HA has not
effect.

Any ideas?

many thanks,
Tom

setup:
PPT 2003 SP1
Windows XP SP2

Tom,

Just a suggestion. Try using PFCMedia to do the insertion. You should see
a SIGNIFICANT reduction in the file size and it should play much better in
PowerPoint. You can download it from www.pfcmedia.com
