To update you:

I am using PP 2000 on a Dell Inspiron 8100.

I have retrieved a backup CD. The PP file on the CD has
the same problem when run on the laptop but not on my
desktop (works normally). I have also accessed the PP file
across network (from shared CD drive on desktop) and it
will not work on the laptop (same problem with some AVI
files not playing correctly). I am not sure what to do
next? Is this likely to be a problem with my laptop rather
than PP?

Any ideas?
