That's BOGUS, man! That website claims they have a solution, but they want
$9.95 for it! What kind of SCAM is that?

hey if anyone feels like telling me what the solution is then feel free as i
am going crazy with this problem and im not sure if the one on the site will
work since mine seems slightly different to the one on this thread so i dont
really want to pay for it if it makes no difference.

the first address on my little error popup is 0x02de415b but the 2nd address
is all 0's the same, and it does it when i hover over or sometimes when i
open a folder with avi files in. its done it occasionally the last month or
so but now i cant open the folder because of this dammed error message.

if anyone wants to get in touch with me use this email:

thanks.

Hi Caz,

Can you send me some of the dmp files from your c:\windows\minidump
directory if there are any there? I can see what they say and if it is a
known issue.

hiya ive attatched em to an email for you. thanks again. ive noticed its
whenever its trying to load up thumbnails. if i look at the properties of a
folder and click on custommise, when its loading the thumbnail picture it
also comes up with this error, and if i try to change another folder to
thumbnail display, then it pops it up then too. just thought that might help.

Hi,

I spent a few hours on this one and wanted to add my resolution to this thread for others.

My issue was that whenever I right clicked on an AVI file Windows Explorer would crash and I had to end the process in the task manager.

In the end I used ShellExView which I downloaded from,
h**p://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html
and disabled VIDEO THUMBNAIL EXTRACTOR.

Worked a treat after that
