Hi,
Am new to AVG and a little confused re e-mail scanning. Because I
use the free version am unable to seek help directly but does anyone
know if and/or how this works with e-mailers other than Microsoft's. I
use Incredimail and an item on AVG's FAQ list gives the impression it
can be made to work but you need to contact them but without paying
for a license this cannot be done. Does anyone have information on
this please?
Reg

I use the free beta email scanner that works with the free version of AVG.
It is a pain to configure and the documentation is quite obscure, but it
does work.

You can download it at:

http://www.grisoft.cz/beta/avgemc/avgemc_en.htm

....and you can configure it to work with any email client. Right now I'm
using it with Forte Agent.

Thanks for that, I see what you mean - made my eyes cross over just
reading it.

Am in the process of configuring 'Incredimail' but am having
difficulty identifying where I find 'POP3 Login'. The normal password
box simply fills up with *******************
The rest of it looks pretty straight forward - keeping fingers
crossed. Any help gratefully received.

I run Ad-aware and that has never, to my knowledge, picked up anything
connected.
