I checked for updates at 11 a.m. today, it gave me an update which said I
needed to reboot. After the reboot, now my AVG says :

Resident Shield not loaded and AV status could not be determinded.

I went to recommendations to turn it on, as it says it is off, but have no
box or anything to turn it on. I keep getting error code 0x810000002.

Does anyone have an idea what is going on? I need help trying to get these
problems solved, have tried repeatedly but nothing works. The red error
shield on the bottom says to click it to fix problem, but it does nothing.

Thanks in advance for any help. JJ

I think I got it fixed. Went to the free support message site, and someone
else had the same problem. Was told to download latest version, and do a
repair, then reboot and upgrade. Seems it is ok now. Just in case anyone else
runs into this problem, that was the suggestion I used and things seem ok.

Have a good day....:-)

BTW, is there a way to register for an AVG free message site, as the site I
went to said you had to be registered, but gave no place where you could.

Thanks again.
