AVG serial number blocked <grin>

Downloaded free AVG, was told that the serial would come by email.
Four hours later, nothing happened, so downloaded it again. Still
nothing.

Finally, changed to a hotmail address and downloaded again. Aha!
Serial came though instantly.

So, sidelight: some mail servers block AVG's serial number
transmission, apparently thinking it's spam. Wonder what's in the
message that would alert them?

Just a note to anyone who's experienced the same missing serial number
message ... it might be your server blocking it.

Are you sure that it is your server that is blocking the message from AVG?
Perhaps you have setup a spam filter on your e-mail client, or email checker
program, that is blocking AVG. Do you receive and download messages based on
a white list?

Possibly the word "free" in the subject.

Thank goodness you never need to worry about Hotmail ever blocking
any spam messages.
