After updating my AVG Free definitions file this morning I immediately
got warnings that both "abiword-plugins-impexp-2.2.7.exe" and
"abiword-plugins-tools-2.2.7.exe" contained the Trojan horse
"Downloader.lstbar.8.k", and both files were moved to the AVG Virus
Vault. Does anyone know for sure if this is true or just a false
positive? I sent both files to VirusTotal this morning, but have not
yet heard anything back. Oddly, I can find no listing for this
particular Downloader variant in the online Grisoft Virus
Encyclopedia. Hard for me to believe that such a popular open source
prog like Abiword would harbor a Trojan. Of course, since I am using
AVG Free I have no access to Grisoft support. Also posted a message
this a.m. to alt.comp.anti-virus, but have not had any specific
response there.
