Hi All,

I am running AVG Free Edition on W2K and it seems that after each daily
update the system now needs to be restarted. Can anyone tell me if I am
still protected after the update and prior to the restart?

Cheers.
Bill.

You need to change the update settings
Open AVGCC->(Double Click)Update Manager->This will bring up the
Properties >set to'Update immediately' & 'Require confirmation from
user'

I can't find that property! Are you sure your advice applies to the free
edition?

Also this has only started to happen recently. It always used to update
immediately.

Regards.
Bill.

Glad you found it.Sometimes (after engine updates especially) AVG is
prone for that setting to change to the update on reboot option.
