i have a question and since my free avg has no technical support, i
thought asking you guys might help:
i enabled the outlook express plugin that scans email for viruses, and
now the weird part: whenever i log on or boot up initially, the
initial users have the email portion of the program enabled and
running fine, but after switching users once the 2nd user's email
portion of the program flakes out and it is disabled for that user.
win xp sp2
avg antivirus free 7.0
anyone else noticed this and if so did you figure out a workaround?
according to the faq i need to manually configure but if that's so
then why does it initially work for each user?
thanks!

Robbie,

I do not have an answer but I have it on a three user computer... it goes
on and off, all the time... I was going to dump it for Avast until I have
seen a lot of posts on the forums and here....

Right now it works, but earlier I had two modules I could not activate...
I agree they do not provide support when it has only a few problems but
right now it has a lot of problems... and I am questioning why they changed
in December, when they had a good working program,.....

My neighbor can not re-install avg after removing it... to re-install...

Hi Robbie,
Just a thought and that is to check the OE Accounts to see if the
settings are the same. Having set up accounts on this PC manually I
know you need different POP3 and SMTP settings for each account.

Did you check the AVG forums?: http://forum.grisoft.cz/freeforum/

I don't use OE so can't offer any help other than to suggest that you
uninstall the e-mail scanner plugin, though I admit to liking this
function, as it's redundant if you're running AVG's Resident Scanner.
