I prefer Avast; boot-time scan, frequent updates of data base and program.

The avast seems to update itself--I could not get Avg to do that--on my
laptop it does... but on my desktop it does not--I think I installed it
wrong--I cannot reinstall it so avast is here..seems good-has a few
features avg does not--like checking all emails coming in..memory check
everyday...auto updates... so far so good
