I got a note from Avast, saying their latest antivirus update was ready for
downloading. I tried the usual right-click method from the system tray
icon, but nothing happens. I then tried downloading the latest update file
from their website and double-clicking it, but I got this error:

"Can't install VPS update. Please, report following errorcodes:
Ver:4.1.289
SI: 0x00000002
ST: 0xFFFFFFFF
LE: 0x00000000."

Avast is a great program, but I'm wondering about this little wrinkle.
What gives?

Probably just having a download problem on their end. Don't sweat it.
It's not that great a program anyhow.
