I noticed that when I have Ad-Aware's Ad-Watch active, the antivirus
program Avast is prevented from running.

These are probably two of the most popular freeware programs on the
'net, and I have a hard time believing they can't work together. Any
idea on what I may be doing wrong?

I thinks its avast. It won't run its active scanning modules with AVG
6.0 either. So I have to do a manual scan with avast.
