I see that VS2005 is available.... IF you are an MSDN subscriber.
I guess it's fair to have some little (unfair ;-) advantage when you are a
subscriber but the wait is so difficult...

When is it than us, non-subscriber people, will be able to get an hold on
it?

Lloyd,

I would have thought that MS Australia would join in on the launch on
November 7th, but I can't find any information about the launch on the MS
Australia Web site. Come to think of it (I'm in Denmark running on CET), I
do believe som of the US product lauches are launched at the verys same time
as in the US (9 hours behind us). So, if that is the way it's done, you're
in for a Tuesday launch... :-(

Available from where? I can find no site where I can place an order for
Visual Studio 2005 professional upgrade other than Amazon.com. And they say
"This item will be released on November 28, 2005".

So, does anyone have a location at which I can make this purchase Nov. 7?

That's a good question.
My hope, which would be confirmed (or not ) very soon is that you could
order it from Microsoft.
My fear is that you could order the MSDN version but not the standart
version ;-(
We shall see...

Thanks. It did produce one more retailer, Programmer's Paradise. They say
call for availability, but I will have to wait until Mon - Fri at the usual
office hours.

Provantage has it listed today. However, it's on backorder.

I spoke with a sales person at Programmer's Paradise today, and they at
first said that Visual Studio 2005 upgrade was available today, but when I
asked them to check further, the answer was something around November 14th
or 17th. Amazon had said that they would have it available Nov 28--and for
$10 more.
