I would like to put together a thumbdrive AV/Malware scanner for quick
scans.

Can anyone recommend some good current tools that can be run from a
thumbdrive without having to install the program to windows?

I found Dr.Web. Is it any good?

I have also used Hijack This. Is it still the standard?

Back in the old days, I used to boot from floopy and run F.Prot to get
rid of MBR and bootloader virus. Can one boot from USB and do this
these days? Any bootable AV out there?

Clamwin Portable requires installation. I am looking for something I
don't have to install, but can just run.
