If my autotext entries do not show up in Quick Parts of Word 2007, does that
mean they were erased during the upgrade process?

They should have been saved in your old normal.dot file. Microsoft were
supposed to be working on a tool to migrate them to Word 2007. Whether that
would work with Outlook 2007 I don't know (Outlook 2007 doesn't use Word
2007, it uses a bundled component of Word 2007).

You best check in a Word group to see if easy migration to Word 2007(at
least) is possible.

I wonder if opening normal.dot in Word 2007 and saving it as normalemail.dotm (overwriting the existing template) would work.

Worth a try. I've seen that opening normal.dot and saving it as normal.dotm
works for Word 2003 to 2007.
