Autoscan Downloads Using Star Downloader and Symantec Antivirus?

Star Downloader asks for the path to an anti-virus executable in order
to do antivirus checking on downloads. I am using Symantec Antivirus
9.0.1.1000.

Star Downloader gives me the option of passing parameters to the
executable, which might work. The proper executable seems to be
VPC32.EXE. But when I enter that as the executable in Star, I see that
Symantec Antivirus does open up when I download, but it doesn't
actually do any scanning. It just sits there.

I'm not seeing any relevant options within Symantec Antivirus itself.
The Help file doesn't seem to contain anything under the topic of
"downloads."

Any ideas?

Wouldn't NAVW32.EXE be the proper executable?

On *Norton* Antivirus, yes. But I uninstalled NAV to install the
corporate version of *Symantec* antivirus as a freebie through school.
So there's no NAVW32.EXE on this system, sad to say.

But it's nice to hear from someone from Fort. Thanks & take care ...
