hiya all,

I have the data autosave at certain times. But as the saving process takes
a bit of time ( about 30 to 60 seconds ) is the anyway to have a message
box pop up stating the data is being saved then goes when completed?

thanks

Steve

To help get an answer, could you explain how you are "autosaving"? Is
this during code execution? Or just as the user is working (Tools-
>Options->Save)?

Thanks

can't help with the message box. i have a quad core cpu with 4gb of ram and
sata2 hard drives. i noticed on my pc, that autorecover interrupts me for a
few seconds when the location is on my local pc. if i switch it to a
location on my win2k3 server, i don't even know it's saving, unless i happen
to see the message flash in the status bar, and that's for less than a
second.

doesn't matter if i run xp sp3, vista sp1 x64 or x86, it's still faster
saving autorecover files to the server.

just some info i felt like passing along.
