I tried using what others have suggested natively, but none of the
suggestions appear to work.
It appears there is a well-founded aversion to autorun on removable storage
(except for CDs/DVDs) due to potential virus issues.
When I insert the USB memory stick into the slot, the memory stick is
assigned a drive letter and AVG does scan the memory stick for viruses so
Windows does auto-detect it.
If there are any obscure or esoteric configuration requirement I would like
to know.
This is not a show stopper, but it is just for convenience
Thanks anyway, Tracey
