Can Autoroute be run from the hard disk instead of the CD drive.?
If so some info on how to do it would be very much appreciated

You could ask the company that sells it directly. Autoroute, though
perhaps a MS product, is NOT the OS and as such the question is out of
place HERE.

Yes it can. AFAIK, it's the default mode of installation.
