Autorecover is not foolproof (though it is better on Word 2003 than earlier
versions). Autorecover set to a minute is probably too short a gap to
trigger (which it probably won't do if you are typing at the time). Set it
to 10 minutes (and set the option to automatically create a backup), and get
into the habit of pressing CTRL+S every time you pause for thought. If this
