The autopreview view of Outlook 2002 suddenly stopped functioning.

I am a heavy user of Outlook 2002. My inbox is set for AutoPreview, i.e:

View > Current View > Messages with AutoPreview

However, for some unknown reason my messages are not showing AutoPreview
even though it is still selected as the cureent view.

I do recall seeing some sort of error message recently related to the view
but cannot recal waht is said. Probably something along the lines of view
not available.

I have repaired Office XP (2002) then unistalled and reinstalled Office XP
(2002) but the problem is still there.

Anyone know how I can get my AutoPreview working again?
