Autoplay Problem

I have a card reader on my Windows XP PC which, amongst others, takes the
Smart Media
cards from my camera. I used to be able to insert the card, select in the
Autoplay window to see a slideshow of the pictures, click OK and the
slideshow would commence. Now, although Autoplay still comes up, I select
the slideshow option, click OK and, apart from the Autoplay window closing,
nothing happens.

How can I get the slideshow option to work again please?

Click on start and run. Type in regsvr32 /i shimgvw.dll and click ok. That
should reinstall the windows picture and fax viewer. Then try your camera
card.

Do you happen to know how to change the timing
between slides?

There's a script on kellys korner page.
Go to,
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm
scroll down to line 81.
It will let you set the timing to between 1 and 10 seconds.

Try this

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en

Hopefully the reader appears as a drive when you run this

Just select it if it does, then next , then select repair (if it says
something is wrong)
