Is there a way to customize the autoplay options that popup when an
optical disc is inserted? I know there are options for which action to
take, which you can set on the optical drive properties' Autoplay tab.
However I don't see an option to inject a customized action, i.e.
launching a program of my choosing. Any way to do this?

The easiest way is to install tweakui.
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx
Then in tweakui go to my computer, autoplay and handlers. Click create and
there you can set up what you want to be in autoplay.
