Whenever I insert a DVD (or a CD) I get a menu that
prompts me to perform one of several actions. How
do I ADD programs to that menu??? I can go into
My Computer and right-click on a drive and see
under Properties>Autoplay, the choices on the menu,
but there seems no way to ADD to that list. Windows
Help has been no help at all.

How do I add to this list???

TweakUI allows you to add or create AutoPlay Handlers.

Autoplay Handlers
This allows specifying the handlers for particular actions like playing
automatically when a music CD is inserted in a CD-Rom drive.

[+] AutoPlay
Handlers

The last subcategory is Handlers. When Windows XP detects that you've
inserted a CD, DVD, or removable disk, it automatically runs the program
that it associates with the type of content on that disk. You control what
programs are used with which types of content using the Handlers tab. This
setting is much easier to configure in Tweak UI than manually.

You can download TweakUI here...

Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/p.../powertoys.asp

Tweak UI
This PowerToy gives you access to system settings that are not
exposed in the Windows XP default user interface, including
mouse settings, Explorer settings, taskbar settings, and more.

Version 2.10 requires Windows XP Service Pack 1 or above or Windows
Server 2003.

Scroll down the right hand side and look for...
Tweak UI
TweakUI.exe

TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe is what you get.

If you have Windows XP without any Service Packs, download Version 2.00.

You can cycle through the tips with the Next Tip and Previous Tip buttons.
But, if you click the Save Tips button, you get Tweak UI Tips.txt which you
can save wherever, with all of the tips in a Notepad file.

Thanks Wesley. I had TweakUI and never thought to use it for
this. I was kinda thinking that M'soft would have provided a
neat way to do this withing the OpSys -- Yeah, right.
