Hi Craig,
It seems there is nothing we can do to get this behavior. I was wondering
if the Autoplay Handler window ever poped up when you inserted a blank DVD.
Have you tested the problem on other machines with the same burner?
I suggest using Tweak UI which is an application provided by Microsoft.
With this tool, one can customize the user interface of Windows XP easily.
1. Download Tweak UI from the following link:
http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...EN-US/TweakUiP
owertoySetup.exe
2. Double-click the downloaded .exe file to install Tweak UI.
3. Open Tweak UI. Expand My Computer->AutoPlay.
4. Highlight Drives. On the right panel, enable the checkbox next to the
CD-ROM drive.
5. Highlight Types. On the right panel, enable all the items in the list
and then click OK.
Does it make any difference?
Sincerely,
William Wang
