I there a way to have the workbook automaticlly respond to the 'Enable Macro'
error message at startup, I get tired of clicking it and when I digitlly sign
the workbook it tells me that I am not a trusted macro publisher. I thought I
might be able to circumvent the application and make it answer its own
question.

No, that is intended to block viruses for inadvertedly opening a file that
will run a malicious code.

Not recommended, but it is possible.
You can go to Tools-->Options-->Security and click the Macro Security
button. Then set it to Low. That will cause the Enable Macros
message to not display at all.
