I have this box checked to run at 2AM every day, but the program never runs.
Any ideas?

Hello Rich,

how do you now it never runs? In the system event log?
Can you see there is a error at 2 Am with WD?
Is you task scheduler on?

I know it never runs because it displays the last tiem it ran on the bottom
of the screen. The task scheduler is on, I just checked it in the Control
Panel, however when I click on the MPScheduledScan job and open the window, I
get the following error:

General Page initialization failed.
The specific error is:
0X80090016: Keyset does not exist
An error has occurred attempting to retrieve task account information. You
may continue editing the task object, but will be inable to change task
accoutn information.

Hello Rich,

if you running Win 2000, try this:

Type at a dos prompt net start "protected storage"

Than you would be able to work with the task scheduler again.

Hi Rich,

if you look in Services, is "Protected Storage" and "Task Scheduler"
both running and if you start them again they give no problems?

Hi Tom,

Yes they are both running. I stopped each one and re-started each one w/o
any problems. Thanks for the input so far...any other ideas?

Hello Rich,

I quote Buddy:

>>I too have the no automatic scan problem and wonder if one of my other

programs might be blocking it somehow. I'm running AOL Security Center as
well as SpyBot Search and Destroy, and Spy Blaster. The earlier Antispyware
Beta worked fine on auto scan. I'm running Windows Media Center Edition
2002
SP2. Do either you Rich, or Engel have some of these programs as well?
<<
Strange that they both running and you cant change The Task, so Buddy
got a point that some program is blocking the task manager!
So Rich did you have some blocking programs running?
