Let's say for example you've made a presentation that contains all the slides
that you need for your presentation. Using slide one as your navigation
slide, you can create a custom show from slides 2, 3, and 4 and name it, Show
One, from slides 5, 6, and 7..you create a custom show named Show Two, then
with slides 8, 9, 10 you make custom show #3, and finally with slides 11, 12,
and 13 you make custom Show Four. All of these custom shows are stored in
that original presentation. There are no custom shows outside that
presentation. Now on the Navigation slide, highlight the item that is serving
as the hyperlink, right click and go to hyperlink, select place in this
document. Now you can select custom show 1 and click the box for show and
return. Do this for all the navigation hyperlink items on the Nav Slide. Now
when you run the show, at the end of the custom show, the next click
automatically returns you to the Navigation sldie (one). When you make you
custom shows in the presentation, make sure that you go to "Slide Show", New,
choose the slides that are going to be in your custom shows and then name
them accordingly. Rmember...custom shows doesn't necessarily mean that the
shows are coming from another presentation.
