Automatically removing cancelled meetings from Outlook 2003 calend

I have set up several conference rooms as scheduled resources. All meetings
are accepted and added just fine as well as any meeting moves, adds and
changes. The issue I have is when a meeting is canceled, the calendars show
the meeting is canceled but the event is not automatically removed from the
calendar of the resource. I have to go in manually and remove the canceled
event from the calendar. Is there a way to have this done automatically? Any
help or
info here would be greatly appreciated.
