In Outlook 2003 SP2 running on Windows XP Professional (OS version 5.1.2600),
is there a way to automatically permanently delete emails in the deleted
items and junk mail folders that are set number of days old? I'd like to
have something set up that would automatically delete any item in both those
folders that is more than 30 days old.

Use the AutoArchive function located under Tools, Options, Other. You can
also set specific AutoArchive settings for each folder by right-clicking and
selecting Properties/AutoArchive.
