Assume I want to let Outlook 2003 automatically move incoming eMails from user "John Doe"
to a folder "stuff from JD". How can I setup such a filter and move rule in Outlook?

Better answers are available if you look in the news group on Outlook, not Windows.
Outlook is not part of Windows.

However, in Outlook, go to the "tools" menu and the "rules wizard".

Why not ask the Outlook experts at microsoft.public.outlook.general?

Joe,

Look up Message rules. However, all Outlook questions should be sent to the appropriate
newsgroup

here's the link:

microsoft.public.outlook.general

Set up a Rule in Outlook, Tools, Rules and Alerts. You might look up Rules in
OL Help for more directions.

Hi Joe, I'm afraid I don't know the menu option in Outlook 2003 but
you need to set up a Rule, probably from the Tools Menu but if not
look for a menu option of Rules.

In the Rules dialog box you can build up a rule by saying that

- After messages are received from the specified account
- Move them to the specified folder
- Stop processing more rules

You get to the select the specified account and folder that you want
to move them to.
