I am running w2k on a 2k server network and I have 1
mapped drive letter. For some reason after a period of
time all available drive letters map to the same location
and i end up with 23 drives all mapped to the same
location. If i disconnect them all after a period of time
they all re map.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Lee

Do you have any screwy programs in the startup locations that might be doing
it? When did it begin happening?

Ive got adobe gamma loader (Adobe Gamma Loader.exe) and
microsoft office assistant (OSA.EXE)in the start up. I
dont recollect when it started but it was a snowballing
effect now it happens almost instantly - i also have
another windows 2000 client doing exactly the same thing.
I think it could be a virus but have updated definitions
and done a full scan.

Hmm, it does sound rather suspicious. There are other places to check for
startup apps....

HKLM\Software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run

and the same path accept start with HKCU

Thanks
Sam
