Ok, i know how to insert a map manually, but is there any way to automate the
process so that a map can be added manually to a power point slide. Looking
for any and all suggestions for a way that essentially a standard ppt slide
in a presentation can be updated with a new address.

If I understand you correctly, you want to enter an address and then have
PowerPoint display a map of the area?

That is NOT something you would want to try and code yourself. I'd suggest
using one of the internet based or local data base mapping applications and
display it in a web browser or the local application. (Both of which will
require enough VB code to pass parameters.
