Hello All,

I was curious if anyone knows a way to automatically export exchange
public folders to a PST file. Exmerge would be great if it could do
this.

I was thinking someone might have created an outlook script to
automatically copy public folders to a users mailbox.

Any help would be awesome, I'm definately stuck here.

I dont think it can be done "automatically"

However if the client adds the public folder to their favourites and
creates an off-line file (ost) then it'll be available off line for
that client.

Thats not a bad idea... It's not the prettiest way to do it.... I'm
looking for a simple way to backup exchange, and obviously exmerge is
great with the PST... I'm not sure about the public folder backups
though....

Do you have any suggestions for easy, server based scriptable exchange
public folder backups?

Sorry if it sounds a little trite but the best option for free is a
manual copy using the outlook client in my view

You can save this to PST.

Alternatively you could shut down exchange and save that pub.edb file
....

Most exchange backup agents will allow you to back up everything on
line

Your solution here is best go for Veritas and get an exchange agent
which will allow you to back it all up.

For free in the NT4 days MSX 55 could be backed up using ntbackup and
a script

I've not seen MSBackup used in this way though (

Hi,
Automated conversion is not possible for exchange public folder to pst..
But you have to do it with PDS Exchange EDB Recovery Software.. it converts every items to pst file without losing any items. it would save your maximum time and easy to export public folder to pst file.
