In Outlook 2002:
1. Select "Tools" from the "Options" menu.
2. On the "General" tab, click the "E-mail Options..." button
3. On the "E-mail Options" dialogue, click the "Advanced E-mail Options..."
button
4. On the "Advanced E-mail Options" dialogue, make sure you have a check in
the check box "Delete meeting request from Inbox when responding" (it's
third from the bottom).
5. Click "OK" to close the "Advanced E-mail Options" dialogue
6. Click "OK" to close the "E-mail Options" dialogue
7. Click "OK" to close the "Options" dialogue
